Default To buy or not to buy

Hi guys, I have been looking for an Is 250, I was looking for one with around 120,000 to 150,000 miles on the odometer, what should I look for when I'm buying it and are they reliable and to what mileage are they reliable? Thanks in advance for any help and advice!

Bought my is350 at the same mileage. When it comes to pricing there's not a big of a difference in prices from the 250 and 350 used. but there is a difference in power, big time. Very reliable car. Its a Toyota.
- Look for CEL
- pop the hood to listen to idle sound.
- pop the trunk
- check brake pads life
- check tire thread life
the list goes on but you get the drift.
Good Luck.

IS250s seem to have more issues than IS350s overall since the carbon buildup issue only applies to IS250s and it can require partial engine disassembly/reassembly which is not cheap.

Don't do it. If your gonna Buy an IS you should just go for an IS350. It's a way better car all around and you don't have to worry about Carbon Build Up. Which at the mileage you listed is probably gonna be an issue.

Also the price gap between a 250 and a 350 is very very small, If any. And the difference in fuel economy is 1 mpg which is seriously nothing. All that and 100hp extra makes the 350 the only car that makes sense to buy. IMHO
