IS250 2007 upgrade to 2010 navigation + LS600 19 mark levinson speakers
Hi guys.
I am new in this forum. but i like this forum so much. I did the upgrade a few years back from non nav system to nav+mark levinson amp and 14 speakers.
but this time i am upgrading the 2007 system to 2010 system. the wiring and plugs are totally difference. Also i found the LS600 Amp and speakers. After i check the wiring they are all compatible. So thats how i start.

I've already attempted the 2010 retrofit once and failed. got everything working except for audio. Turns out that 2010 HDD based navigation uses a different audio signal called MOST. I'm gonna attempt the install one last time before i'll sell the unit in case i missed something in the wiring. My conclusion so far is that in order to do the swap for '10 navi you need to use the amplifier from 2010+ year model, consequently replace the speakers too because of difference of impedance. If it'll turn out to be true i'm gonna let the unit go since it's not worth for me to upgrade, already upgraded to ML, system. But it seems that you already got the right tools for the job (speakers and the amplifier). I also noticed that your navigation unit is slightly different than the US model, and it seems to be DVD based instead of HDD? Anyways keep us posted, lots of pictures and wiring diagrams are always welcome.

Hi all. I have uploaded more photos today.
The console and amp and all speakers are fitted. Lots of hard work. i think total i have spend more than 50 hours on it. But still more work to do to make it nice finish.
The console working perfect with the amp and speakers. There are a few problems during the work but most are sorted.
Thanks for looking. I will keep updating the photos.
cheers
The screen looks same size to me but the colour is so much better. Also better image under the sun.
Yes. Thats why i have to change the amp too. The console is DVD based. So far all the electrical parts work perfect together. I have the old set sell on eBay too.

Hi littlenick
First of all, great post - thank you!
I have got hold of a 2010 satnav unit. It looks just like yours.
How did you modify the wiring to fit the new unit? Did you use a circuit diagram?
Like you say, most of the connectors are totally different. So i have managed to power up the new sat nav but i cannot get it connected to the HVAC connectors. I am very interested to hear what solution you came up with.
