245/45vr18 on my is250?
Hi guys,
I have a IS250 2011 AWD stock....and my father wants to give me his tires. They are 245/45vr18 do you know if they will fit on my G-spyder 18"?
Thanks!

Are you on stock suspension? Assuming your stock wheels are 18x8 so the 245/45/18 tires will fit (and i think this might be the maximum tire width recommended by the tire manufacturers).
However, the car will gain 20.25mm in height and might rub on the fronts. Plus your ODO will be off by -6%. I would probably pass up on the tires if i was you.

Hey thanks!
Yes, my IS is totally stock right now! Well I can have these tires for free.....I will try them I suppose. Is there any test I can do to check the fit before going for a ride? Or do I have to go for a ride to be sure?
About the ODO can I fix the 6%?

You will be OK with the rears but the fronts will definitely rub. I am running 235/40/19 in the front and have issues with rubbing at full turns and big dips. The 245/45/18 will be 3.55mm larger so they will rub even more. Maybe you could you into shaving/modifying the fenders and wheel wells but i dont think it is worthed (even for the free tires). Sell the tires and get proper size.
I am pretty sure the ODO could be re-calibrated with the right software and equipment.
