I've had good luck with AutoZone's Duralast Gold batteries; I have one in my IS now. Free installation too.

If you have any independent battery shops in town, you can save $20-40 on the exact same batteries. Paid $60 for mine with a 72-month warranty, where AutoZone wanted $90 for the SAME THING.

one thing i didnt realize is that our cars have such high CCA 880 amps. question is: what if the battery auto zone has is less than 880 CCA? that wouldnt be a problem?

^Uhm, that's what the factory batteries were rated at. Per Google :

"the minimum CAA requirement is 585 CAA at 0 degrees."

just put the new battery in and got it installed. man that clamp on the positive side of the battery, what a PITA. after i got the battery installed. i noticed the following symtoms:i put my foot on the brake but noticed that the engine light didnt turn green, (yes i had my key in my pocket) probably took a while for it to see the key. 2. after it started i noticed it was idling extremely low, most likely due to the ecu resetting itself and reading the air/intake readings from the maf sensor. but then it oddly stalled. (my car is an automatic) so i had to start it again. question: due the the ECU reset, will the car drive differently? because i know it will have to learn my driving behaviors.

that fourm kinda did answer my questions. but i do a mixture of soft and hard driving, im just wondering how the ECU will adapt to the changes, because i know the transmission will be learning.

After a full reset, you will experience a "stall" ONCE upon the first initial start-up.

Like you, I do a mix of city/hwy and normal/aggressive driving. After resetting the car, I recommend driving the car how you would mostly normally day-to-day. That way the shifts are smoothest and reacts the way want it to normally.
