Good place to buy ISF Ecu??
Hey everyone, just wondering if any of you who have the ISF steering ecu could recommend a place for me to purchase one for myself. I plan to put it on my 06 Is350.
Also does it have to be a specific Ecu or does any year ISF Ecu work? Thanks everyone, I look forward to your replies.

There's differences between the different years for ISF ECUs. I got the 2012 ISF ECU from my dealer locally. They were actually cheaper than if I bought it from the US (I am in Canada).
I believe the 2013 ECU was more expensive and the differences were not well known.
I say, call your local dealer and ask how much for the 2012 ECU, then try and get them to come down a bit on price. I think I paid $300.

And would buying a 2008 isf ecu still have the same effect as a 2011+?

It's unknown what improvements (if any) are found with the 13-14 version in order to justify the additional $200 dollars over the 11-12 version.

The 08 IS-F steering ECU will give you a heavier steering feel but the feedback will be lacking compared to the 11+ IS-F steering ECU. There's a lot of great information on the differences between the 08-10 and 11+ IS-F steering ECUs on this older thread:

The cheapest place I could find the '11+ ISF steering ECU (89650-53041) was MyLParts.com, which is run by a California Lexus dealership. It came out to about $470 after the 10% off ClubLexus discount code "CL5". TLS Auto Recycling has a used one from an '08+ (89650-53041) listed on http://www.ebay.com/itm/08-09-10-LEXUS-IS-F-POWER-STEERING-COMPUTER-89650-53040-/371172366754?hash=item566b98d9a2&vxp=mtrfor $300 currently, but I would go with the '11+ model if you are going to bother with it.
That and F-Sport sway bars were the two best upgrades I have purchased for my IS350.
Also you will probably want to run in PWR mode most/all of the time after the upgrade to activate the much less intrusive sport mode traction / VSC control and stiffer steering. I found that PWR + S is more comfortable than PWR + D for normal driving because it avoids the aggressive downshifting while still retaining the sport mode benefits I mentioned.

Has anyone driven the 2014 3IS and see how the steering compare? The 3IS steering definitely improved when I drove it and I wonder it's similar to the ISF steering upgrade. I'm considering doing this upgrade ...
