Default Replace Left Rear Half Shaft - AWD

I'm looking for some help on exactly what part to buy for this. I went to the dealership the other day and they said it would be ~$1400 to replace this with tax...

My buddy said he could help me with the repair, but I'm having trouble locating the exact part online.

I'm not a car guy at all, so being as detailed as possible would help. Everything online when I look at ebay says, "CARRIER ASSEMBLY REAR AXLE AWD 4.10 RATIO". Is this something different?

When I search for half shafts only the only thing that comes up are ones for RWD....

Does anyone have the part number I'm looking for?

Thanks for the help!

It sounds like you just need the LR axle shaft... The "carrier assembly" is something different... I believe the rear axle shafts are the same for awd or rwd... But different for is250 vs is350... You can check here for part# and price...

My dealer usually gives me quotes for recommended additional work on the reciept of work I have done. If part number isn't on there just call the service advisor they should tell exactly which parts and part numbers are part of that $1400

2006-08 AWD axles are different from all other 2IS axles.
2009-13 AWD IS250 axles are the same as 2006-13 RWD IS250 axles.
2011-13 AWD IS350 axles are the same as 2006-13 RWD IS350 axles.

Yes it's $1400 labor and parts. I'll give the dealership a call to confirm the part number and I'll respond back here.

Also while doing my research I found that the RWD axle shafts can't be used on my AWD car.

Okay I received a few part numbers from the dealership:

Shaft: 4234022170
Seal: 9031138071
Disc Assets: 1215710010

Also recommended gear oil lube for the job.

Is there a good website to look these up at?
