Default 08 is350 vs 09 vs 2010 vs 2011

I'm looking to purchase a used is350 here soon and I can't decide on what year to get. I have seen people say that the 06-08 is350 have faster 0-60 times and are faster then the 09 is350 and up, is that true? I know of the little upgrades from each year how the 09 gets the turn signals on the mirrors and 2011 gets a new style with the headlights and all of that, but are they really different in power even with all the same engine regarding 0-60 times? And which would you suggest to buy used out of those years 07, 08, 09, 2010, 2011 for best performance and perks combined?

I don't think theres any difference in engine system for the is350. Lot's of timing records can varies due to lots of things as in reseting ecu to learn better aggressive driving habits, bolt on's, tires, weight's. Etc.

As for the perks. Lexus changed some interior tech to keep up with today's auto technology and exterior appeals. Everyones favorite is the LED strip headlights from the 2011-13 model.

I have had an 08 IS250 AWD since 2011. Im considering buying either another one but newer(2014), GS350 F Sport, 2010 ISF, or a Infiniti G35. 06-10 looks the same throughout but the 2011-2013 got new wheels. My mom currently has an 07 IS350 and a 2014 RX350 F Sport in Black. I have noticed that her 0-60 is faster than mine because mine is a 250 not a 350 but the RX350 F is a little bit slower than mine. I would recommend a 2009-2011 for looks but if you're focusing on 0-60 times, look at 06-09

Yeah I think I'm going to settle on a 09 but still wanted to get some opinions from people and what they say about these years of the is350. Thanks for your opinion also!

i prefer the look of 09-10. 11 and up got vinyl center armrest whereas 06-10 had genuine leather. plus, the silver plastic pieces on the steering wheel and pass side near the airbag look cheap on the 11+. upside to 11+ are LED headlights and Bluetooth audio.

What ever year you get make sure the recalls have been completed on the car. They are all reliable. From my research the newer ones have the same basic drivetrain. Only difference is the new ones already have the recalled items installed from the factory. You're not going to get a more powerful engine by choosing one model year over another.

But you have to do the pedal dance to disable the traction control instead of just holding in the button on the 07+ models.
