Replacement Gasket for Tanabe Medalion Driver's Side Muffler?
So I straddled what looked like a McDonalds bag in the middle of my lane but apparently it actually contained a cinderblock or some other heavy object. I heard it hit the underside of the car in one place as I drove over it. It somehow caused the bottom half of the gasket connecting to the driver's side muffler to become dislodged, creating a partial exhaust to leak before the muffler. The new more agressive sound at high RPMs is cool but I will probably need to replace the gasket to pass yearly inspection.
Any idea of the gasket dimensions I need? Looks like the options are 50mm, 60mm, 70mm, or 80mm oval. Is it a part I can get from a local exhaust shop or do I need to order it from Tanabe ($25)? Also is there an easy way to adjust the exhaust so it doesn't hang so low? Maybe have an exhaust shop add a hanger around the Y pipe area?
This is exactly why I didn't lower my car. Probably would be looking at replacing the front bumper if I had been lowered.
