Default Opinion on buying springs

Hey guys,

Last week I purchase an is250 RWD. I was wondering what type of springs I should purchase.

I had Tein S springs for my Scion tc and it was so uncomfortable, loud and it would scrape everywhere ( I now hate lowering cars ). However, I still think that the is250 is a bit too high, and I want to eventually buy spacers and new rims, for all that to look nice it has to be a LITTLE bit lower.

What do you guys recommend? Doesn't matter what price, I just want something comfortable, and a recommended lowering amount.

I was personally looking at these :
 http://www.amazon.com/H-R-29122-1-Sport-Spring/dp/B00C7LR9OU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1436563016&sr=8-1&keywords=29122-1 http://www.amazon.com/H-R-29122-1-Sport-Spring/dp/B00C7LR9OU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1436563016&sr=8-1&keywords=29122-1

Any recommendations and opinions will help!

Thanks!

I have an 08 RWD IS and installed Eibach springs w/stock shocks. Ride didnt suffer and only lowered about 1 1/2". My stock shocks are still good but I have only 43K on the car. Springs were installed w/less than 10K on the car.

I would recommend the H&R Sport Springs. I had them on my old BMW 3 series and loved them. I just bought a set for my 2012 IS 250, but haven't had them installed yet. I have heard a lot of good things about the H&R Sport Springs for the Lexus IS as well.

If price doesn't matter why not buy coilover? I had tein s tech before and it wasn't bad at all for comfort. Just a little stiffer than my sport suspension and i regret it so now I changed to bc coilover and feels like I'm riding on a cloud lol its awesome!

Yeah like everyone mention. Get Coilovers. Do it right the first time. I had Swift Springs and the ride was okay. The thing is i want it with no fender gap. So I upgraded to coils. The ride is much comfortable and can go as low as i want or as high as i want. When people get new wheels. It's always a big factor to have coilovers just for heigh adjustment wither it rubs or not. Thats the benifit of coilovers.

I hear that ride suffers a bit since almost all coilovers use metal upper mounts whereas stock is rubber. I am actually considering a set of HKS hipermax IV. Curious to know how the upper mounts affect the ride. I have stock suspension currenly, non-sport.
