Lexus already issued a recall for the 2nd gen months ago. I got a letter in the mail that said they'll replace the dashboard in the IS250 if it ever starts melting. It even said they'll replace the door panels too if they're affected.
I just wish it also covered my 04 IS300, the dashboard looked terrible before I repainted it.

There is currently a recall out for Lexus 2007-2008 ES350,2003-2008 GX470, 2006-2008 IS250, 2006-2008 IS350, 2007 LS460, 2004-2006 RX330, 2007-2009 RX350, & 2005-2008 RX400h for the dashboard referred to as a "ZLD" If you contact your nearest Lexus dealership they can book you an appt. for an Inspection, no guarantee it will be replaced, but if it is melting then Lexus will order you the needed parts and replace it. Takes approx. 4-8 weeks for the new dashes to get in.
