Are most of y'all hoking up your iPhone/iPod to play music using Bluetooth or USB??
My concern using the USB, is it charges the iPhone while playing music, thus the phone reaches 100% full battery charge quickly, and if left plugged in, will overcharge the darn phone.
Using Bluetooth, and there is occasional interference, and for some reason, I have to turn up the volume on the iPhone all the way up to hear it through the stereo.

Your concern is unfounded. The iPhone/iPod have a charging controller that automatically stops the charging process at 100%, lets it discharge a bit, and then tops it off again. Android and Windows phones have the same type of charging circuitry.

Since the iPhone no longer has the headphone jack, I currently use an aux cord with a usbc at the other end. Aux into the car and the usbc into my phone for music only. Does not charge my phone at all and the phone calls will still reroute to the cars Bluetooth /navigation screen automatically.
