I know there are a bunch of posts about installing xm radio and that's not what I'm asking. The issue is a lot (almost all) of them are from several years ago and I would like some clarification before I start ordering parts.
1 - Is the process the same for cars without the navigation system?
2 - If I get the 'XM' kit, does it work with siriusXM? Most of the DYIs were written when sirius and XM were two separate companies, so I want to make sure that if I buy one of the XM kits, it will work with SiriusXM. I looked at some sirius specific kits, but they are not able to (easily) install like the XM kits, which are plug and play.
Additionally, does anyone have recommendations for the best current kit to order? From what I've read, it seems that many of the kits are either now outdated or hard to find.
