Default Loud Engine?

Do the IS250 engines tend to get super loud at around 40 mph? Today when I hit the interstate, after reaching 40 mph the engine started to roar like it was at high revs, but it was only around 2-3k rpms. Is this normal? Other than that, just cruising around on the streets the car is relatively quiet.

Exhaust leak perhaps? I read that a crack tends to happen on the stock piping where the two pipes combine into one (the "Y" section).

Before 100 K. exhaust leaks near Y section .Then, leaks near the engine.Possibly around converters.

Default My 98 gmc1500 gets hella hot

when the exhaust gasket blew out From the manifold to the y cat collector. I noticed the whole truck gets hot now. Like the heaters on all the time. And under the hood is cooking. So I’m sure at idle it could cause overheating. You most likely have something else going on also.
