Default Question regarding transmission and warranty

Hey guys,

I recently purchased a 2013 is250 from a used dealership.

1. I'm at 43k miles, is the car still covered under the 50k Lexus warranty even though I did not buy it from a Lexus dealer?

2. When my car changes gears the car will sort of hop to the 2nd gear, It's like as if I'm punching the gas pedal, Is this a problem?

When it shifts to 3rd 4th and 5th I can feel the car changing gears a little but it's not as bad.

Thanks!

I think that is just the nature of the transmission. My wife's 350 has a more intense shift from first to second but almost imperceptable on the rest.

Do you know the history of the car when you bought it?

You are covered with the 4 years, 50K miles, suggest you take your car to the dealer. Regardless where you bought it.

Describe the issue, they will road test it and let you know what needs to be done. Hopefully no other shop other than Lexus touched the car to void the warranty.

Good luck.

That's the best way to put it, it's an intense shift, the car jerks and maybe because I've been paying attention to it so much I'm just over reacting.

Yes it was owned by an older gentlemen. It was serviced on time has a clean title.

I think I'll take it to the dealership then and have them look at it.

Thanks!!

I would reset the ECU first and see if that helps....
