Default High milage 2008 IS 250

Hi guys!
I'm a long time BMW owner, but recently bought RX350 to replace my E46 M3. I like the RX quite a bit, so now I'd like to replace my wife's 120km 328i with IS or ES (IS preferred). I don't have huge budget, so looking mostly at 07-09 cars, some of them have close to 100 miles. BMWs are scary at this mileage and a lot has to be done to keep them running. How is lexus in this regard? I can wrench, replacing plugs/gaskets/shocks/springs etc was never a problem.
Thanks!

What is your budget? Also, they are fantastic cars as long as you keep the oil and brakes nice mostly they take care of themselves. A few minor things here and there but I have never had an issue. I have an 08 with almost 200k and an 09 with just over 100k no issues on either.

I'd like to stay below $12k. Brakes and oil are always current in my cars, so I should be good
Thanks

Find yourself an IS350 at that price.

Thanks!
If you can wrench on a Bmw , Especially an M3, you can easily work on this car if anything goes wrong. The only problem the IS of these years have is the Water Pump (which should be easy to replace for you) if it hasnt already and the carbon build up issue. Honestly I always recommend just getting an IS350 since its even more reliable than the 250, plus gets only 1-2mpg less but gains 100hp and more aggresive gearing for a ton more passing power and the acceleration is very similar to a stock e46 m3!

I highly recommend looking for a high mileage is350 vs is250 since it doesnt suffer from carbon build up (which is actually a recurring problem youll deal with on 250's) and other than that its bullet proof. I got mine at 79k and it now has 113k miles trouble free

My e46 330i on the other hand... ughhhhhh lets not even talk about it lol. Sold that at 121k very troublesome miles and havent ever looked back
