Default Blue tooth feature

Do the ISs with only the tv screen have the blue tooth capability? How well does it work with the new iphones?

If there is an IS without the screen, can you add blue tooth without having to go aftermarket headunit? I see the button space is still there on the steering wheel

Which year IS are you talking about? The older generation only supports the hands-free Bluetooth profile for phone call audio, but not A2DP for music. I've supplemented the built in Bluetooth with add-on adapter for music that plugs into the aux port.

Most likely 06-08- my girlfriend needs a new car with AWD and blue tooth. I like the Lexus so thought the IS would be a good fit...I noticed in pictures the cars with the screen had the phone buttons and cars without the screen didn't...so the link above clarified that.

I am assuming she will at some point find it cool to plug in her music the the car is it easy to add the adapter for blue tooth music?

It's easy and inexpensive to add a third-party adapter for music, since jacks for both 12V power and aux audio input are in the center console bin. The disadvantage is that you don't get song titles and album art displayed on the nav screen, and the controls are on the adapter, not on the steering wheel, but for $30 (I have the Kinivo BTC-450) it works well.

Vais Technology sells an adapter for around $250 that enables full integration (SoundLinQ3 SL3B), but I don't have any personal experience with that solution.
