Default 2011 IS250 F sport non Nav to OEM Nav swap

Brand new here @ clublexus...

Not new to the forum/car scene

Quick question on the navi swap...

All the I can find on the swap is on the older 06-08

IS models.... Soooo I bought a OEM navi for my wife's car...

2011 IS F sport.... Non nav but Bluetooth and all that

I found a OEM nav unit out of a 2011 IS250 F sport

Has to be fate!!!! But please someone tell me this is plug and play!!!!

Laugh now there's a YouTube video of some Japanese guys doing the swap

Sitting in the car in about 9 minutes.... I noticed what looked like a selerate

OEM looking harness that they plugged into the factory non Nav unit and then

The plugged hat harness into the Nav unit and boom.... Done and it was fully

Operational HVAC controls and all...

Please any and all help would be great!!!

Was searching the forum but cannot find where anyone has done this on a 2011+

Thanks guys and gals

It's totally not plug and play. You properly see the guy installing after market unit.

Trust me.... It was 100% factory swap.... He added a black harness and clipped it into only one of the factory connectors then plugged his harness into the navi unit... Trust me I'm not 18 and know what is saw

No offense, but I'm afraid you don't. The video you linked was not a factory swap. It was the installation of an aftermarket Road Rover unit.

Another poor soul like mine.. trying to figure out a way to swap NAVI into a non-NAVI on a newer model IS (i also have a 2011)

So, OP, like others have mentioned, what's in the video... is not OEM
I have considered swapping to an OEM Navi, and it'll be a pain, getting all the parts and harness
I have also considered flyaudio, which i don't think they are still selling
and then i have look into Aliexpress, all the sellers are saying they have stopped production now.

Back to square one... with OEM NAVI being my only option, and there is lack of swap job on 2011 model
Maybe i'll just keep the car for a little longer then sell it and move on...

If you find anything, please kindly provide an update
