Default Spooky Halloween trick of windows mysteriously opening themselves?

I came out to my recently purchased 2009 IS250 to find that all the windows were down and the sunroof open! Thank god it hadn't been raining. I did find a thread on this in the LS section, but there was no clear conclusion as to whether it's always traced to a fob-fumble, or whether it may be some glitch in the car's electronics.

Have there been other discussions I've missed that chased this to ground at some point?

Any idea how much a dealer might charge me to kill this feature in my fob?

Worried every time it rains now....

Either A) Your car is possessed and you should really seek the help of a psychic or medium.

Or B) You have the Key Fob in your pocket (like me) and something in your pocket or even your own leg or butt is pressing and holding the "Unlock" button for a few seconds which is causing your windows and sun roof to open.

This happens to me very often and Ive learned to keep my key fob in a way where it wont be pressed to open the windows like that. It is extremely annoying and a feature I never even use but yet, for some reason, I never bother taking it to Lexus to have it unprogrammed?? Lol. Hopefully it doesnt rain when this happens again.

But basically every lexus has its own "personal settings" programmed into the vehicle that can be changed at your local dealer. You have the option for things such as opening the windows and sunroof with the unlock button, to having your Daytime Running Lights turned off during the day and some other things I dont quite remember. Im not sure what the fee is though, but i cant imagine it being very much, if anything at all...

Tro209 is right. Something in your pocket or purse is pressing the buttons on the fob. One of the Lexus preference settings will disable to ability to open the windows and sunroof by holding buttons on the fob.

If your car is at the dealership having other service work done, they might be willing to change the setting for you as an accommodation. If not, they'll probably charge 30 minutes labor.
