Threads merged. There doesn't need to be two of these.

Ya know Jeff, there really doesn't need to be ANY of these This is truly one of the silliest threads I've ever come across No one has to justify why they did or did not buy a car or anything they buy for that matter.
Buy what you afforde, within your budget and what you want. I know a few guys that drive around in way too much car than they can afford and are always broke.
Brand new IS350 cost more but used IS250/IS350 cost about the same.
Well there's an answer for you. Some people just prefer to buy new vs used. So they get what they can afford... If they buy used then sometimes a 250 is just a better deal on the basis that most of the time a 250 is cheaper and a lot easier to find honestly. So it's easier for people to find the color they want without having to travel a long distance and as most 250 owners point out , they don't care about power and they get 1-2 mpg better. It's essentially just a status symbol.
It just depends what you want out of the car. Most sold are IS250 automatics. Then you get the people who wanted that car, but faster, so they got the IS350. There were also those that wanted that car but manual.
The people who wanted a faster manual bought a BMW.
