Default 19s or spacers?

Id like to focus on having a better stance. I currently have 18's on and love the design of the wheels. But im on the fence as far as either choosing a 19" wider wheel or just running spacers on my 18's. I guess my questions are how easy is it to bend a 19" wheel? We all let our guard down from time to time and hit that nasty pot hole. Ive taken those hits well with my 18's and had no damage. I did run spacers on my old VW and didnt have any issues. But they are a little concerning to me as far as safety goes. Which do you all think would be a better option? My car is only driven on the weekends, about 10k a year. I also have another car to use if I want to take a ride into the city where the streets are horrendous.

I cracked 2 sets of my 19s lol but I just don't like spacer.. it feels scary riding on a piece of metal instead of the hub itself. I know alot of people's running spacer

go 19s

Cracking/Bending wheels, really depends on the quality of the wheel itself. I've never cracked/bent my 19s and I was on them for 3 years.

Either way, id rather the possibly increasing chance of cracking/bending my wheels over running spacers.

If you do end up getting spacers, get some hub centric, bolt on spacers!

No the Ichiba bolt on ones a lot of people use on here are the sketchy ones I believe. You need a good quality german steel like H&R with the extended lug bolts. Now the OEM studs that are on the car can be removed from the hub right?

Yes u need to change the oem studs with the extended studs it's not hard to do. I suggest u to torque the lug nuts once a month after installing spacer. Trust me it can be very loose after awhile.. that's the reason I removed my spacer. I used to have ichiba in the front and h&r in the rear h&r.. Go with 19s it looks better and safer
