LKQ? So they want to put a used headlamp on that costs more vs a new one? Oh boy, a simple eBay search would of gotten them a used one at the $350 mark. If you search around for a brand new one, Lexus of South Atlanta sells a headlight for $794, or mylparts with the ClubLexus discount sells one for $770. If they really want to pay that, I'd push for a new one myself.

I was thinking of switching the repair center to my local lexus dealership, since they won't repair it till 2/17
oh, and maybe Lexus Dealership will give me a brand new one for half the price lol

That's what I told you... They are going to charge you 2-3 times the price of what it would have costed you normally. Insurance compagnies are stealers.
Forget the claim, get a used headlight on ebay and buff the bumper. It's not worth it. Trust me, Insurance compagnies are one of the most profitable businesses, the 850$ will end up costing you a lot more in a few years when your premium will increase. Only claim if it's major damages.

But that wasn't directly from my insurance, that was directly from the collision workshop. If its better to go wiith a ebay headlight, can you find me a cheap headlight with decent quality no cracks, tabs missing, and must have auto-leveling.

is that one good?

I think only HID headlights have Auto-Leveling... You must ensure that it's the correct part number. Contact the ebay seller and ask.
You could also contact a Lexus dealership and ask if the part # on ebay correspond to the part # of you car?

Same thing goes for a driver in front of you who run on a big rock that ends up in your windshield. Nobody is responsible.

I think that light is the halogen one meaning no afs.. Make sure you go with OEM with afs that's the hid and movement setup.

AFS and auto-leveling are 2 different things, however they were only available together. There are no auto-leveling lights that don't have AFS and there are no AFS lights that don't have auto leveling. (2011+ LED lights excluded).
Same goes for HID, all HID's have auto-leveling and AFS (2011+ LED excluded), all halogens do not.

I called insurance again and was about to cancel the claim but they said I don't need to get it fix at Gerber's Collision and I could go anywhere I want. They would print out a $844.00 check minus my deductible of $250 so I would get a around $600.00
1) Cancel the claim do it myself. (Assuming insurance doesn't go up)
2) Get the $600.00 check, do it myself. (Assuming my insurance goes up by a bit)
Thanks!

Yes, it's your right to do the repairs wherever you want.
It's up to you... I personally like to have a clean insurance record for the future, but you could always use the extra money insurance will give you to do stuff with it. Not sure if it's worth it or not though. You will still have to spend a few hours installing the new headlight by yourself and buffing the bumper...
On the other side, and someone please correct me if I'm wrong, since you ''started'' a claim process, it will show up on the carproof/carfax report as an accident on the car eventhough you didn't claim anything. Which is something that will decrease the car's resale value (not major, but still). Anyways, may-be I'm going too far with my analysis there...
