Anyone know what product and brand to use for the scratches? I was looking at Meguiars Scratch X 2.0

Some of these responses are baffling... I haven't read all of them, but having a ton of experience with insurance, as long as it wasn't your fault, a claim on your insurance doesn't necessarily mean it will make your premium go up. Additionally, there are a LOT of body shops that will pay your deductible for you. I would call around to body shops in your area that have good reviews and ask about your options. This is a perfect example of WHY you have car insurance in the first place. Use it!

Also, it is NOT accurate that just because you make a claim against your car that it will show up as an accident on your carfax.

I took the paycheck of ~$850.00 minus the $250.00 deductible. I bought a OEM Headlight off of ebay for about $165.00. I just got to worry about the scratches and lightbulb.

I don't know where you got that from, but it will 100% show-up on the carproof of the car. As soon as you call the insurance and start the claim process, that information is being sent automatically to those database...that's how it works.

Have you tried a good buffing compound? Do you have an electric buffer? You might only need that (and patience).

anyone know where I can find a entire set of rivets and clips for the engine cover? I need everything! (Previous owner probably broke them). Also, a pic of where each kind of rivets goes.
