Linking seats to memory
I just got back from picking up my 350 from the dealer. I had the dash pad replaced. Everything (including radio presets) seemed to have saved. I'm having a hard time with the memory seats. I'm pretty sure the seat used to adjust based on whichever key was used to unlock the door, and also if the memory button was pressed on the door.
I can't get the seat to move no matter which button on the door I press. I know my wife and I had different seat settings and I'm pretty sure the seat would moved based on who was in it. I can manually adjust the seat just fine, but using the memory setting never moves it. I opened the user manual and flipped through seeing if I missed something. Just saw how to save the settings. I set one all the way back and saved it, then set 2 all the way forward and saved it. Neither moves the seat.
Is there something in the dash that they didn't hook back up or did it just not work the way I thought it did? The mirrors and steering wheel moves to the settings for 1 and 2, but no seat movement. They didn't change the door panels yet, as I guess they're on backorder.
I've been on the dash/door replacement list for almost a year just if someone was wondering.

I just did some Googling on the issue and went to my garage to try it. Turns out the seats are like the windows when the battery is unhooked in that the limits need to be reset.
I found someone that said to slide the seat forward as far as it goes, back as far as it goes, and same for the seat back. I did that and after I was able to again move the seat between the different setting by the memory setting on the door.

Are you saving the setting correctly? Your memory seat settings will be lost if power is disconnected.
To set, make sure your car is on and in park, manually position your seat the way you like it, hold down the set and 1 button at the same time until you hear a beep.
Do the same for positions 2 and 3.

Is it just the seats that lose the memory? Mirrors, steering wheel and radio/nav kept all the presets. I don't know if they disconnected the battery for the dash replacement, but I'd assume they would.
I did the reset procedure I saw elsewhere and it seems to work now, and my wife's settings for the seat are back to the original setting she had.
