Default Hood won't open, help!

When I pull on the lever I hear a click but not the pop noise the hood should be making. Anyone have any ideas on a fix?

That's a tough one. Have you tried getting under the car removing the lower covers and see if you can locate the latch to open it manually?

Had something like this happen to me. My battery died and I didn't have the metal key from my remote to unlock the car.

Had to remove all the covers from under the car and reached up until I was able to unbolt the latch and take it off. Heads up--there's a cover over one of the bolts (I guess for appearance?)

Use this as last resort because I think removing or moving that latch can mess with the alignment of your hood (how it closes, etc.)

Was your vehicle ever in the front-end collision? Have the hood locking assembly ever been adjusted?

Your hood struts could be bad, so when you click the latch, nothing is forcing the hood to pop up.

Sorry for the late response, but the issue was the dealership didn't put the cable back into the spot that holds it in place so when you pull the latch under the dash it creates tension. If you look at the back of the latch under the dash you will see what I mean. I just had my dash replaced due to the recall and I assume that is what happened.
