Default What year ended stick shift/manual trans for IS250??

Hi everyone. I am helping a buddy buy a car but he specifically wants a manual. We've been having a hard time trying to locate one with the color and option he likes. Is the manual transmission still being offered or did it discontinue after a certain year?

Also, how reliable is the manual in the IS 250? Would you recommend over auto?

After 2010 Lexus stopped producing Manual transmissions on their cars.

2013 is when is250 manual was dropped

Thus 2012 was the last is250 3 pedal

For Euro-spec the IS250 came with 6MT until 2010 and the IS200d/IS220d came with 6MT until 2012.
For North American-spec the IS250 came with 6MT until 2012.

Other models/markets were automatic only.

The IS250 manual transmission was a bit of a pig. It was what finally made me bite the bullet and get an automatic. Never looked back.

My cousin has a IS250C manual. It's even porkier then the sedan

I am a 3 pedal wh ore, but the is250 manuals take a beating on resale

Local dealer has one , 39 k miles almost 11 months on the lot ...

I drove a friend's 250 manual and was disappointed with the way it drove. Automatic is much better in the 2IS + models

2006-2008 RA62 isn't especially great.
2009-2012 RA62 is better, but still not amazing, just okay.
2009-2012 RA62 with the Quickshifter is actually pretty nice.

Never driven an 06-08 with the Quickshifter, I assume it's not horrible, but who knows.

I like my current setup, clutch feels decent and the shifting is tight. Could be a bit shorter on the throws, but it suits the car.

Could you possibly help me with a part number for 09-12 RA62?

I have a 2011 IS250 and the manual transmission feels great. From the posts above, looks like the shifter was improved. Very few manuals were sold in 2011 and 2012 in North America. Just 3000 overall from 2006-2012.

Also I get great fuel mileage: 8.5L/100 KM on average. Its a base so light without sunroof or AWD differential.
