Any experience with NIA 3IS Front End Conversion?
Hello people of CL,
I have a 2006 IS250, and have been looking at different 3IS conversion kits, and one from NIA really popped out to me, due to the aparent lack of cutting, sizing, etc. Does anyone have any experience with this? Or would it just be easier to go through a custom shop?

Their site says they do test fit each unit before it leaves them down in Florida. It is fiberglass so it would be easier to work with. And also more likely to crack at the bottom if ya bump something. Ive also been eyeing this bad boy. Just not to that point in my build. Still on factory wheels:-(

interesting to see how it fits. as far as moliding two oem pieces the biggest thing i can tell you from experience is the weight. it will get alot heavier due to all the adhesives and body filler. keep that in mind. the fiberglass piece will be lighter and IMO if you crack it alot easier to repair then a poly kit.
i done both routes and i molded a lip to my stock bumbers and it did get alot heavier, even putting all the snaps and mounts back it still started to sag due to driving and the overall weight increase.
i finally got tired of it and bought a blackpearl kit for my car. its made of FRP and fitment is pretty dang good. it seems to be aliitle lighter then my stock bumper was before mods and if i do hit an animal i know it will be easier to fix then the two times i had to repair my molded one. (cats and mangoose run amuck here).
hopefully someone can chime in on the fitment of this kit.

I've had it for about 2 months now and I love it. Fitment was spot on no issues at all.. I did shave off the bumper tabs in order for me to be able to fully air out. I drilled holes for the fender tabs.... But overall the fitment along the headlights and hood was 9/10 no complaints

I cut out the tabs where you would normally bolt the bumper and the fender together. I do that so the tires don't rub and can tuck the wheel in.. I am on air suspension so I "air out" the bags when it lowers
