Halogen to HID Headlight swap problems
I recently purchased a pair of 06-13 HID headlights to swap out my old Halogen headlights. When i installed them the headlight would come on temporarily for about 15 seconds then the light would go out. I am completely confused because my assumption was the HID headlights would be a complete plug and play i just wouldnt have the autoleveling feature. Could this be a lack of power not being able to maintain the HID headlights?

Since i had halogen headlights instead of buying an Hid conversion kit, i purchased a entire hid headlight to replace my current ones. The wire connecting the ballast looked good when i checked them yesterday.

Its quite possible when purchasing used equipment. By the way did you disconnect your battery (just the negative) before doing the swap??? Just a safety precaution to not short circuit the kit. If you didn't, that might be a possibility to consider.

I'm gonna agree with Icy here due to the fact that even aftermarket headlights are not compatible on HID equipped IS's. might be cause of AFS and the way theyre wired.. someone here has the exact answer... anyone?
