Default Audio not working

Started the car this morning and the audio won't turn on. Pushed the button a few times and nothing happened. Tried ejecting my cd's and nothing is happening. I checked the fuses (three different ones at two different locations, according to the manual) and none of them are blown. Don't really know what else to do. Not crazy about taking it to the dealership. Anybody have ideas on what's going on?

I'm having the exact same issue right now. Didn't even notice because I only use the Auxillary audio, apparently that works fine. Very interested to see if there's a solution. OP, does your Auxillary audio work?

I'm not sure if this helps but my car was in storage for the winter and the battery was dead when I took it out two weeks ago. Jumped it and it works, I'm driving it daily and no battery issues. I have a feeling the CD player broke when it was being jumped, I had a similar issue happen on a different car.

Also, I think I hear the current CD spinning, but does nothing. And my CD menu display is stuck on CD 1 and does nothing when I click other CDs.

NOTHING works. I usually use the auxiliary also. Probably wouldn't even care if the cd player didn't work anymore. Wish I was in your situation!
I thought/hoped it might have been just the fuse, since the fuse to the fog lights just blew last week. I would be more than happy to change the deck if I knew that was the problem. I'd just hate to blow $200 on a deck on Ebay and still not have it work.

No. Basically, the entire unit is not turning on. When I press the Audio button by the Nav screen, the display just says "Audio off"

Only thing I can think of for you to do is disconnect the battery for a while, then connect it back and see if the deck will maybe reset? That sucks

Did you check the fuse under the glove box? It's ignition 2 7.5Amp (as I remember)

Perhaps the factory amp is bad now that is not allowing the audio to turn on?

Guess it won't hurt to try that. The radio doesn't have a code like Honda vehicles, does it?

Yes. I checked that one and the two in the box next to the battery. I don't know of any other one.

If the amp is not working, wouldn't the radio still turn on, albeit with no sound?

^It might not until the system recognizes a good, working amp in the system. But I'm not 100% sure on that.

My buddy had the same issue. I took my Mark Levinson amp and hooked it up to his non Mark Levinson system and his stereo worked. He sent the amp off for repair instead of replacing. Major difference in cost.

as i know, his amp is fine. The problem he got is no power for the radio. Your friend may have problem with no sound but the radio still have power.
