Would you ever buy a salvaged car?
I haven't bought a car yet, but I was looking on ebay and right there is a 2010 IS350c. It has 44k miles. It looks like it probably just needs the front bumper and Probably New front headlights. I could have a body shop put on a bumper, hood and some lights. I owned a salvaged for 2 days, they told me it was clean. I took it back. The thing had a bunch of electrical issues, but this one looks pretty clean. Since it would be my car and I would have it for a long time, I don't see an issue, other than the extra weight of the Convertible and now ML sound. It could be tempting if I can get it all buttoned up for the right price.

If I get it, I would drive it for at least 10 years and 120k miles. From the pics I have seen, the airbags weren't even deployed. I have considered it before, but usually the deal is not good enough to warrant it. I guess you can only get liability only insurance. I wonder how another insurance company would treat you if their customer hit you.
This pic does make me a bit nervous, the damage looks pretty benign, but not sure about the top fitment.

I would without a doubt but only if I saw better pictures of the damage. My old IS250 was salvage, my Prius is salvage, and my new to me IS350 is salvage. Cars ran/run like a dream without any issues. The thing is all of those cars were bought and fixed by me and my dad so I know the exact damage and every single part that was replaced. In your case I would ask for more pictures or go check the car out in person before you buy, you don't want any surprises. Regarding insurance I don't know how some companies work but I have full coverage on all my vehicles salvage or clean through Allstate.

There are more pics, but I haven't put them up yet. The car is about 65 miles away from me. Wish it was closer, but not too bad. I know a place I could take it, but it is probably 100 miles from the car. The one car I bought had the electrical redone. I am glad I got away with only a couple hundred dollar loss. My fault for not checking carfax first.

Seeing that the hood isnt even caved in much nor is there damge to the rear . I would imagine it didnt take too bad of a hit. 100 miles isnt far at all. I would make that drive in a heart beat to ensure a wise investment. Money doesnt grow on trees, its made from them. So do your due diligence on the car or you may end up pissing away potentially thousands of dollars. Just my 2 cents. Good luck.

imo if i know what the damage is yes... but if not i would get a body shop that you know quite well and put it on a frame machine see if it straight...

Old cars...yes. Spending more than 8k on a salvage titled vehicle, however, is not the greatest idea IMAO because you cannot have full coverage insurance. You wreck, your fault. At least that is how it works where I live.
With that being said, I have bought one salvage title before. An old 95 SC400.

i would buy it if it's cheap, brand none or rebuilt what's the different ? buy used car is all depend on your luck, my dad bought a brand new Toyota Solara back in the day, he had such problem after 60k miles, i bought a used Toyota Solara 120k miles with no problem still, my sister bought a Salvage title Acura TL 0 problem so far and she still driving it, buy it fix it right and drive it, some says accident car brings bad luck ? oh man This is America don't believe in that S H I T .

It would depend on how severe the damage was and how much work would be needed in order to be street worthy. Judging from the pictures, looks like all that's needed is a new bumper, grille, hood, and headlights. Seems like a good deal if that's all that is needed but, definitely get a PPI just to make sure. It'd be better to find any hidden damages before purchase rather than after. Best of luck with this car if you decide on getting it!
