Default HID Fog Lights

Which one looks/performs better, changing just the bulbs in stock housing with a conversion kit or replacing the housing (found on ProTuning Lab website or eBAY)? Or are they the same?

Thanks. I'm more curious if the housing is the same as the stock housing. If so, I will just buy the bulb and HID kit. I thought maybe these had better beam pattern.

Now that I've compared the stock fog lights with these, they look the same. If so, then I will just buy the bulbs & HID conversion kit. Much cheaper.

Because I have 6000K low beam HIDs and I want to match it with 6000k HID fog lights. Why, would LED fogs look like HIDs?

Thanks for the pic. Looks good. I just want more intensity on the fogs. LEDs would be my 2nd option. I have 6000k halogens on there now.

Did you have to install decoders so the LEDs do not flicker?

^^^^No, I have put in two sets of LEDs. Mine are 2014 ISF stock set and and LED bulbs in a friends ISF. Both were plug in. These were the bulbs:

@Flipsonic - What year is your vehicle?

I'm personally a an of LEDs in the fogs, as they will be brighter then stock - but not as bright as HIDs. This is actually a good thing, because your fog lights don't really have a "cut-off" which means that HIDs in the fogs = lots of glare.

Many people on the board have our XenonDepot LED kit installed in their fogs (6000k):

This is my set up pretty bright. First pic is just 6k H11 Volt kit. Second with 9006 6k Volt kit fogs on. Couldn't be happier with the light out put. note this on a country road.

XenonDepot - I'm looking for an LED swap to switch out my DRL's i have crystal white Nokya halogens (blue coating on the bulb) in there now but I'm looking for something a bit more towards 6000k - I'm not worried about losing my High beam option

Whats my best option?
