Default Window Trim Coming Off

I just got my 06 IS350 and I noticed that the black trim on the window chrome is coming off. I figure I will just glue it back on.

Anyone else seeing this same issue??

That black trim is not factory. Some folks are using tape to achieve the black out look. The most common tape to use is a kit made for the mini.

The black rubber trim that is closest to the window is from the factory. Flowrider is correct in saying that folks do " black out" the chrome though. I dont know of any significance of the rubber piece though. I wanna take an exacto knife and trim mine due to the same reason.

The trim is definitely factory but it is know to peel off the chrome part, my 07 is350 with 82k miles is just starting to peel now.

Same thing happen to mine. Picked up 3m clear adhesive at walmart in the auto section. Cleaned the chrome surface with alcohol. Apply sparingly with a toothpick. Any extra residue clean up asap, this stuff dries quick. It turned out pretty good if you have skills. Im physco when it comes to my car so if it looked like **** I wouldnt recommend.
