Default Car wont turn off

Hey all,
Pretty weird. I havent been having a ton of issues with my car however today is by far the weirdest. I got locked out of my car because the battery on the KEYFOB died. it wouldn't let me in the car (had to use the key) or start the car so I had to go over to the local autostore and get a new battery.

Changed the battery everything works but NOW, my car wont turn off. Shift into P engine turns off but Nav and everything else stays on. Has anyone had any issues similar to this? Tried unplugging the battery however when i plug it back in, the Nav turns back on

un related but why didn't you just use the metal key to unlock the door?

never heard of the problem of electricals staying on.

Yes i am fully aware of the key, and that issue is resolved. The issue is more with my car not turning off. Car is in park and everything and power on the on/off is not lit but Nav and radio is still on. When I try to get out the car, it beeps as though its in ACC mode but its not.

Yeah but its hard to just remove the NAV in your work parking lot as i tried to trouble shoot yesterday. I even unplugged the battery but when i put the connections back on, the car turned back on like its in constant ACC mode

What happens when you press the start button after he car is off without pressing the brake pedal? Does it do anything?

Hey all still kind of having this issue. It didn't happen over the weekend when i was in the city (thank god) but it happened again once i got home. Not sure why. The only new issue or change that I'm seeing is now my new (vipmotoz) headlights have condensation in one of them, hoping thats not shorting something out to cause it. This issue is posing to be really annoying right now

If any thing with your headlight then you will got blown fuse cause headlight has the own fuse.
Once again, if i were you, i would take navigation unit out and see if the car still having same problem.

That IS weird.

Try taking the battery terminals off and leave it off for about 2hrs to make sure all the electricity is drained out. Pressing the brake a couple of times will help it drain faster.

Reconnect the terminals after that and see if it does the same thing.

I tried taking the nav out, it DID NOT work. when ever i closed the door i still got the beeping noise as if the key was still in the car. However i did leave the car battery off over night and that seemed to do the trick. Im not convinced that it is fixed but it also hasnt rained for a few days. gonna drive around for a while and see if that fixed it
