Default How to tell stock OEM rims from fakes?

Hey all,

I am buying some rims and they are priced REALLY good. The ad says OEM stock rims for 2007 Lexus IS250. I will be buying it off of craigslist

Are there anyways to tell if the rim is real other than taking it to the shop to get it checked out? Are there any markings I should be looking for on the inside or any unique identifiers?

Thanks
Jason

As I know, nobody make replica OEM Lexus wheels so buy it if the price is right. Make sure it's not bent

Actually there is an entire industry dedicated to knock off OEM wheels

Post a picture so we could help take a look at it but I think if you look at the wheel from the back you can find the word TOYOTA on one of the spokes.

I recently purchased some sport gunmetal IS350 staggered rims off craigslist. I made sure they weren't bent, then brought them home. Turns out, one was bent right at the center bore...just have to look real close. Any chips or marks on the edge indicate possible bending.

Just look on e-bay - anything listed as "new" is also listed as "aftermarket". OEM rims have "Toyota" stampled on the back of one of the spokes.
