Default Seat heater

Just bought a used 2010 IS250. There is no seat heater controls near the shiftier. It is 90+ degrees outside and thermostat control is set to 70 inside. The driver side back seat heater is coming on the lumbar support. Seems like the hotter it gets outside the hotter the seat heater gets inside. Is there any way to disable or control the back heater? Is there a hidden switch somewhere?

Thanks in advance.

some IS don't have heated or cooled seat, the control panel adjusts it all.

But this lumbar support gets very hot for a short time when I get in and drive down the road. Not immediately like you expect, but after a short time after sitting in the seat for a while.

since you don't have the control seat heater try to decrease your temp gauge on your main control panel, i'm wondering why your 2010 IS250 don't have that, 99% of 2009+ model has it, some of 2006-2008 don't but yours 2010, check your owner manual for that FUSE and pull it out, but you should be aware that instruments fuses do shared if you pull it out other feature might not work.

Go back to where u bought the car or bring it to a local shop and figure out.

I see where some IS models have automatic climate control on the seat too. I wonder if the wiring is a little screwed up. Guess I will take it back and see if they know of anything like that, but it gets very hot and only after driving it for short time. Then it cuts off and comes back on an hour or so later. Very odd.

There are no seat heater controls in any of the navigation menus, nor are the seat heaters linked in any way to the climate control. If you don't have the controls by the shifter, I'm surprised your seats even have the heating wires.

Agreed with the above. You very likely dont even have heaters at all. You sure your not just imagining it?

I am in Columbia thanks. I think I may have figured it out. There must have been an after market heater put in because there is another switch in front of the other motorized switch on the seat, near the front. Looks like it is for high low. Its not in the user manual so it must be custom.

I switched it to middle and no more heat now.

Thanks all for your help.
