Trunk lid switch melting onto rear bumper... Part # confirmation needed
Not sure how Lexus can botch the dash, door panels, and now the trunk lid switch but, they have... I'm about a year out(according to my dealer) to get my sticky dash and door panels replaced. I left the car outside yesterday in 96 degree sun and woke up this morning to melted rubber all over my rear bumper. I quickly realized that the button that opens the trunk lid literally melted and dripped onto the bumper.
I did some research and it looks like I see reference to part number 8494553010. Is this correct for a 2007 IS350? Online I see reference to it working on 2010-2015 models. I want to confirm before I buy it.
Thanks,
Todd

Thanks Lou. I ordered the switch this afternoon.
I'm astonished how such a high end car manufacturer utilizes parts that simply deteriorate at such a quick rate? My dash literally melts every day that the car sits outside at work. It is wet/sticky to the touch each afternoon when I get in it to come home. I converted to my IS350 from a M5 and starting to think I should have stayed German... Hopefully once I get the dash/door panels replaced it will be smooth sailing...
