Transmission shifting hard 5 to 6
Sorry if this has been covered before, I could not find anything useful using the search feature.
So right when my car hit 131k I am getting a really hard/jerky shift from 5 to 6 and going back from 6 to 5. It doesn't happen any other time. It does it when the car is warm or cold. I have done a battery reset as well. Any thoughts? It is a 2007 IS350

Maybe you have a solution for us, mine is250 AWD does hard shift with 2nd and 3rd gear when ever AC on, not all the time though, but most of the time, it worst before transmission and diff case fluid changes, it got better after i changed all fluids, now i still get hard shift most of the time with gear 2 and 3 with AC ON. when AC OFF it doesnt but i can feel ALL GEAR shifts, i don't have gear Position On my DASH because i don't have TPMS sensor but, i know exactly what gear i'm on, i mean i feel it when gear up shift, do you feel that like me ? or is it me i am so sensitive with Manual Trans in the past ?
Drove a 2016 Nissan Juke Turbo friend's car with AC on his does it with 2nd gear but little bit, drove a 2010 Acura ZDX with AC on this guy car also does little bit with 2nd gear, he told me most car does it, is that true ? i thought only Toyota Lexus transmission do this, wow my Toyota Solara dam worst lol

AC on or AC off doesnt make a difference. Mine just randomly started doing this after owning the car for the last 7 months. I took it from MI to FL and back no issues. Right when I hit 131k (literally 131002) the transmission started to jerk when shifting into or out of 6th. Although when the car is on the hwy (70-80ish) the shift is not as harsh versus driving on surface roads (40-50)

Well this is NOT normal guys. When a tranny goes bad there are signs as mentioned above. Yes fluid is another problem but they "say" you don't need to change the fluid as it is a sealed tranny. Kinda odd that the stealer will do their best to drain it then refill. I'mma use my mityvac and change it anyways. Fresh fluid is always best.
Shifting hard, slipping, whinning, grinding are some signs that it will need to be repaired.
Just my 2 pennys but keep asking around or net search.

Well, I'd start with whatever is the cheapest fix; which in this case would be a trans fluid flush with fresh fluids. If that doesn't help, then I'd narrow down which valve works the 5th-6th gear change and replace it. While in there doing the valve, might as well replace the trans filter. If that does nothing, then just drive it till to dies. Then source a good, used replacement trans.

Try drain and refill transmission 1.7 quart and do that about 4 time one a week. My car seem to shift normal now. I don't have issue like your but got transmission sensor cod and one while won't shift pass 3rd gear.

the 1st and 2nd time the mechanic done normal way of fluid change, 3rd time the owner of the Shop had to stay up in my car and drive and shift the gear while mechanic pumping the fluid in, Ya he's a best friend of Downtown Lexus in Toronto Ontario downtown, they told him to do that.
Yes after the 3rd time flush the gear shift even better, 30% more better, i'm very pleased with TOronto Downtown Lexus and the Shop, it's still a little notice of gear shifting there to me because i am very sensitive, my friend drove my car he told me F you your car shifting is smooth and he said i have an Imagination problem. No mechanic shop can satisfies me in Toronto Canada except, Steven's Shop SELECT RIGHT AUTO in Markham Ontario.
