Default (Small) modifications or additions to your car that enhance experience

Hey all,

I was just wondering whether people have added things, big or small, to their Lexus that have made a big impact on performance, driving pleasure or just aesthetics. This could range from an air freshener to a new exhaust. What would you recommend adding to your car?

For example, the last car I owned I didn't really take care of. With my new IS 250, I'm almost proud of it. I bought some wash 'n wax and interior detailer and gave it a good clean, and now I feel great just driving it around.

There are many things that will make you even more proud.. Tanabe exhaust that I added was definitely one of my favorites.. Roof spoiler definitely adds a great look to the car as well.. even an OEM trunk spoiler..

Above all.. nothing will change the look of the car more then a drop and a set of wheels

Big fan of the intake, nice sound change during spirited driving for low cost

F-Sport Rear sway bar is probably the best low price modification you can do to your Lexus IS that will enhance the driving experience (IMO).

Add a subwoofer.

The basic factory radio is absolutely awesome. Adding a sub will make it a real system.

Getting the best set of tires you can afford. You'll feel it every day through stops, accelerations, cruising, turns, everything. Might not do much for looks but in terms of experience and as the only thing connecting your car to the road it's what I'd recommend. I was lucky to get Michelin Pilot Super Sports for summer and Michelin X-Ice 3s for winter and it's a day and night difference compared to my first car with cheaper tires. I can say the extra grip has saved my *** in some clutch situations where I may have crashed or have lost control and recovered and has increased my confidence in the car.

I agree with Red Spencer.. IMO getting a rear sway bar makes a huge difference in handling for relatively modest price..

Im on the fence on the Roof Spoiler on a stock car - however I would recommend those LED interior/exterior bulbs - especially the puddle lights at night

Having lowering springs installed on the car makes a big difference in looks even if it is still on stock wheels. This was the first modification I did and the most important if I were to do no other modifications to the car.

My fav mod is HID (Xtreme Kit). Love the look at night and also the light it gives off. Kill 2 birds with one stone.
