IMO I think it's the brake disk hitting the rotor shield in back of it, just pull or bend and adjust the shield away a little bit.

^No brake rotor on the hub there. I'd hope they'd already looked to see that the shield wasn't touching the hub.

Bad wheel bearing was what they said it was. It was hit and miss as to when it was making the noise. I brought it in for a front brake job and as I was driving off I heard that noise. Drove it back to them and had the mechanic go for a ride with me and there was no noise for the first 2 miles but after we turned around to go back it started making it. Is it possible the brake job caused this? Seemed unlikely, but we never heard the noise before. Just dumb luck and it went out after they changed the brakes?

Also, everything I see/read online regarding a bad wheel bearing sounds like a grinding sound and not a clicking sound...weird?

Bad wheel bearings sound differently with how long one has driven on the bad bearing. You've caught it early. Very doubtful that any brake job would have caused a bearing to go bad.
