I found a set for sale locally for $600. Guy claims they are brand new, but are outside the box. Im wondering what I should offer him if this is the real deal.

What MY are the headlights? Are they HID? Are they AFS?

Sorry i should have been more specific. I know that they are for the 06-08 and they appear to be factory halogens. Thats all i know right now, im waiting for a reply from the seller.

That's way too pricey for headlights, esp new halogen ones. You can find relatively lightly used ones on eBay for $300 for a pair.

Those are the most BASE model of headlights for a 2IS. It's worth what someone is willing to pay for them. Search the web and figure up a going rate for them.

I have a set of AFS/ HID headlights from my 2010 that come with all bulbs except the DRL for sale - $500

HID bulbs are stock 4300K - the 194 parking light bulb I swapped in a Phillips LED

Here are some Prices I have seen throughout the years.

Halogen 06-10 (The ones you are describing) Ive seen sell for as low as 300~400 a SET.
HID w/wo AFS 06-10 ive seen sell for 400~550. These are MINT condition. I bought a set of 2010 MINT condition, crystal clear glass HID AFS, NO hazing what so ever for 500.
HID 11 would be 900 stripped, 1200~1400 Loaded ( People dont like 11 because of the bubbling Defect)
HID 12+ 1000ish stripped, 1400+ Loaded.

Just to give you an idea.
