Default What Is Quietest Most Affordable Exhaust?

Ive had my IS350 5 mos now and its an excellent car--sporty, luxurious, and reliable. But the stock exhaust is too quiet. I see so many aftermarket exhausts for these cars on ebay, CARID, Autoanything, etc. I want a cat back exhaust that is the quietest out there, the most affordable, and will give some extra power.

Please advise!!

Do not consider Magnaflow exhaust, I got one a few years back, loved the way it sounded when I installed it.
After 6 months, it was driving me crazy. The drone was so bad I couldn't hear the radio with the windows down .
I was glad I kept my stock exhaust. My advice is to try and listen to as many as different systems as you can before
purchasing anything, you will save yourself the pain and money.

I was looking into getting the Tanabe Medallion Touring as well since it's not too loud and reasonably priced.

Good eye to catch that new greddy. Very exciting. Greddys are typically quiet .

As most will agree, and so do I..the Tanabe Medallion Touring.
Not only quiet but deeper & louder than stock, exceptional quality and beautifully made, you'll love the nice tailpipes they're larger than the stock ones and the mufflers are good to look at also.
Reasonably priced, I love my Tanabe Medallions.
One of my best upgrades!

Sorry reread your post, the Tanabe Medallion touring is only a axle back exhaust not a cat back exhaust.

Yeah the Tanabe is good. That or the M2 exhaust from ebay which is essentially a knock off for about $200 or so less last time I checked. But if you want quality then the Tanabe is the way to go

Good info! Sounds like Tanabe Medallion is the way to go. Axle back is ok. Do the stock mufflers need to be cut out? Any power gains from Tanabe?

I see many exhausts on ebay--this one looks like a Tanabe copy at only $275!

The stock mufflers don't need to be cut out, its an easy install, the hardest part is removing the rubber hangers and thats not hard either. I just sprayed some lubricant like (wd40) on it and wiggled them off.
The exhaust is just bolt off and bolt on....my son helped me and we did it in about 20-30 minutes.
I would keep your old set up so if you sell the car you can put them back on and sell the Tanabes on the forum.....guaranteed someone would buy them.
I believe they say about 7hp gains....not positive, withe the f-sport intake and the tanabe exhaust it does feel better when accelerating .. plus you get the improved sounds all around.
