IS350 Subwoofer
I have an 07 is350 with mark levinson and my sub has blown. I tried the DIY video on youtube and was able to fix it but now a month later, it popped again. Has anyone replaced it with an after market sub? I found the oem one on ebay but its at around 300$.

@The350Girl mine works but along with the base I have a nasty rattling noise. I know its my sub because the rattle is gone when i turn down the base and increases when i turn it up. When i turn down my base, i still get a good minor base sound but it's from the speakers so i think you might be hearing your base from your speakers. Try listening to some hip hop and put your ear next to your sub to see if you get any. Maybe some Dr. DRE lol
As for the DVD, you must have your emergency brake on in order for the DVD to work.

If I'm not mistaken you should be able to replace the factory sub with almost any 8" woofer, with little to no modification. However, you should be getting a decent low end output from your front doors. If you really have no low end, maybe try adjusting your sound settings.
Not that you should be watching a movie while driving... but BeatSonic makes a bypass which will allow rolling video playback.

If you've ever had a sub in a vehicle and know what it is to have one, then more than likely it's toast. Oddly, it is MORE common for the upgraded ML sub to go bad than the normal Pioneer sub. You could look at simply replacing the ML sub for another OR as I've recommended to several members to just go with a replacement Pioneer sub. If you go the aftermarket route, you will need a "free-air" sub, which is alot more costly to be truly effective.

Blew my stock sub within two weeks of getting the car so tossed a dual 10" in my trunk, got bored of the sound and now have a much boomier ported 12" in my trunk. Stock sub is sitting idle disconnected haha.
