My wife's 2015 IS350C doesn't seem to have a backlight on the cruise switch, while my 2015 Toyota Highlander does. Is her backlight defective, or are the Lexus stalks not illuminated?

I believe they're not illuminated. Pretty sure Toyota/Lexus has delegated that to new models (my 13 RX doesn't have one either, IIRC anyways, I don't pay attention to it though). I imagine any NEW model, not refreshed, would come with an illuminated stalk. I haven't sat in a 3IS at night lately, so I'm not sure if they have theirs illuminated.
If the connectors are the same, it might be a simple switch if it's something you'd like to attempt. I imagine it also depends if you have radar cruise or not. If you're willing to take apart the steering wheels in both cars, why not check?
