Jeff knows this better than anyone, but the VDIM system on is350s doesn't like square setups. I run 245-40/17s on the front of my tree-fiddy on 17 x 8.5" wheels. No rubbing. The next set of summer tires I buy are going to be 255-40/17s.
I've since done a bit more experimental testing about how the VDIM system learns/calculates wheel speeds and I may end up amending my thoughts on that. You're right though, from my previous testing it did seem that with a square setup on the IS350 that VSC/TRAC tended to get a bit overactive. There is the possibility that with a VDIM reset that the car may in fact learn the wheel sizes correctly. Can't confirm that yet.
