06 IS350 Low Oil Level comes on after car warms up
Hello Everybody,
I noticed this issue come up a few days ago. The Low Oil Level light would come on once the car was warmed up (needle close to center on the gauge icon).
It first happened about 4k miles after my last oil change. When the car has been sitting for a few hours the oil is at the proper level, after running it to operating temp (when the warning comes on) the oil only goes slightly down like its supposed to. Since it was almost due for an oil change anyways i went and got one. But after picking it up and letting it get warmed up the warning would still come up. I've did a bit of searching and just to emphasize this is the Low Oil Level warning not the Oil Change Due light that comes on.
So having said all that what all should i start checking first? i've heard that it might be a front cover leak from a TSB or maybe a PCV but i was wanting to know what else could it be. Like faulty oil pressure sender/probe or whatevers. Also i mentioned the thing about the car warming up all the way before the warning comes up. So maybe that will help diagnose a little bit too.
