Ive searched the forums and got different info. Some say spoiler is bolted on, some say 3M tape. And how do you take out the inner trunk liner? I want to take off the spoiler to wrap it in CF.

Looks like the same spoiler that I have.. it should just be 3m taped..

Using some goo gone and fishing line going back and forth in a sawing motion should work for you

The trunk liner is just held in by a few clips and maybe a few m6 bolts as far as I know

If your spoiler is factory equipped than it should be bolted on. Aftermarket OEM spoilers may be taped on or bolted on if the spoiler purchased is equipped with the necessary built in nut. Also , peanut butter will help remove any residue that may be left on your trunk if it was taped on.

None of these spoilers were factory-equipped, but if it was a genuine Lexus part, it will have 3 bolts and there are holes drilled in the trunk. This is in addition to the 3M adhesive used on the edges of the spoiler.

The factory spoiler was only used on the IS F and factory F-Sport models.

If you are vinyl wrapping I wouldn't bother taking it off, I've wrapped mine in the past still mounted with good success. Or just dip it, its small enough to not look cheap like dipping a whole car.

I wouldn't bother taking it off either. Try to wrap it like that and take your time.

Trunk liner is held on by clips and tabs that can be easily removed with an interior prying tool and a screwdriver. I went through this process when installing coilovers

Cool good info. I would like to keep the spoiler on and just wrap it--much easier. But I want to wrap the CF vinyl around the edges so may need to take it off.

I went to an auto body shop they took it off. Yes it was 3 bolts plus tape. I will wrap it in CF and reinstall this week. Check back soon!

Good to know - clearly I was wrong haha this is the same spoiler that I have and I can see the tape underneath the corners so I figured it was just taped

Did a temporary CF wrap as practice and to see the best way to cover the spoiler--2 pieces works best top and bottom pieces and line up the weave--one piece was too difficult as the wrap wrinkled up as it folded from top to bottom half. Used hair dryer to mold the CF and looks good! Will be redoing the wrap.

Nice! It came out good I'm impressed with your wrapping skills. I tried wrapping a few things in the past and it definitely didn't go my way.

Thanks! Yes its takes practice to wrap CF vinyl Ive done it many times with some failures. Using a hot hair dryer helps greatly to lay down the vinyl.
