Default Is it required to replace differential oil for 60k mil main ?

Hi Expert,

Just wondering is it necessary to replace the differential oil for 2nd IS250 RWD in 60k maintenance ? I am reading the manual looks it is not necessary, just inspect(seeing red)

Replace engine oil and oil filter; reset reminder light
Measure thickness and runout of brake rotors
Measure thickness of brake pads
Replace air conditioner filter
Replace brake fluid
Replace engine air filter
Replace rear differential oil (IS F)
Replace spark plugs (GS, IS, IS F, LS)
Inspect the following:
___Rear differential oil (GS, IS, LS, SC)

Thanks

I doubt that if you put it off for later it will cause any immediate harm, but if I were you I'd just go by what the manual says even if it will cost you a tad more.

Ok, since the manual only asks for a replacement on IS F model, to my car(IS250 RWD) I will just go with the word "Inspect".

Its so easy to do... Just do it now and you won't have to do it for another 50-60K especially if you put some quality gear oil in. How do you plan to inspect anyway?

The service for the rear differential oil isn't even that expensive so I don't see much reason to skip it. If you just "inspect" it, then when are you going to get it changed?

I'd do it now too. Unless you specifically notate for a set future mileage, you're likely to overlook it when it could be handled pretty affordably if you handled it now.
