Currently lowered about a finger gap on LC818's, fenders are rolled. At about a quarter to half-lock, the front wheels rub on the fender liner portion closest to the firewall, not the upper fender liner facing the sky. Before I try using a heat gun to this part of the fender liner, has anyone had a similar rubbing issue that can chime in?
For those curious, the fronts are 19×8.5 +35 with 15mm spacers, wrapped in 225/35/19 tires.
Yeah, I just removed my front liners altogether. LOL!
I considered that as an option too haha! Wanted to see if I could get away with modifying it for clearance first because I don't want dirt and grime everywhere. After you removed it, how does it look behind the portion depicted in the photo?

brave soul.
i couldnt do that so i just heated mine back. it should help a bit if you heat it and push it.
if you remove it sure gets dirty faster. plus i didnt want to remove mine cause where i live it rains multiple times a week...

You just see the factory metal behind it; it has the black noise-reduction "liner" on it as well. With my larger 19s and with it lowered, you don't see it unless I've got my wheel turned. Doesn't bother me one bit and I don't have to worry about any rubbing. Oh, and no having liners don't allow water, any additional noise, or dust/dirt/debris into unwanted areas.

and having no liner will make the car slightly lighter as well... "stage 1 weight reduction" lol
Really? Everyone else that removed their fender liners say all of that stuff does get into unwanted areas.
Do you hear rocks and debri hitting against the factory metal after removing the fender liner?
I drive only on paved roads that are very clean. I don't have any "debris" issues. What some don't realize is that when you remove the liner, there is metal covering about 90% of the area that the liner covers. The 10% that is doesn't is the very front lower portion facing the front of the car. More air into the wheel wells don't bother me!
