Default IS350's Rare?

Been looking for some time to upgrade from my 250. Very surprised im not seeing any 11-13 used or CPO at any of my local Lexus dealers. Are people just holding onto these cars or there werent as many put into production?

Yes they are rare, almost non-existent in Northern states. There were about 240k IS250s and only 40k IS350s produced. About 5200 ISFs

Also most IS350 were produced in 2006 and 2007. I would assume lots of those are at junk yards with high miles or salvage

You're correct. In the first 2 years, mostly IS300 people (i'm one) and car-enthusiast people were turned on by the IS350 for its power. They were the first adopters. I used to see a lot more 350s than the 250s at least in CA. Later on, regular folks started buying the 250s for the brand and looks. They didn't care much for the power. Good luck, flektone.

Try expanding your search radius in auto trader. May be able to find more cars with a broader net. My 07 has 45K. So there are cars to be found that are not junk. Took me a few months to find one that suited my taste. Just wish I Had the cashmere leather.

The reason you aren't seeing any 350's at Lexus dealerships is because they're refusing to sell them until the airbag recall has been done on them. I called a few Lexus dealerships a few months ago and that's what they told me.

Man that stinks. I love my 250 and the Lexus brand but i need a car with more *****. I see plenty of 2011+ 250s so Lexus not selling them because of the air bag issue is not true. I will keep searching and talking to people on here. But i might be looking more into the G37 coupe.

If a dealer has a car with an active recall, they cannot sell it until the recall is completed. That said, Lexus has not added newer vehicles to the recall yet as newer airbags do not yet pose a risk. They will be added eventually.

At this point I believe 2011+ are not yet on the recall list.

Jesus, I've been searching for a decent shape, decently priced 350 to replace my IS300 and this chart made me want to shed some tears. I need a miracle

I searched for an IS350 for 6 months back in 2011. Wanted an 08 glacier frost mica, with luxury package, under 40k miles, mark levinson, nav, headlamp washers, and parking sensors. After 6 months I settled on an 07 tungsten pearl with 37k miles, every option I wanted except mark levinson. Just keep looking. Try carmax.

350s are rare. It took me well over 8 months to find my car (mostly because I am a very picky person). IS350s make about 15% of total IS sales, just to explain why. You'll find one eventually though. Just keep looking.

I drove about 2.5 hours out of my way to get mine after ~6 months of looking for one locally. At the time when I had expanded my search there were only two for sale under 20k within 3 hours of driving. I like the car, it was worth the drive.
