2009 & Newer Sticky Dash?

I have an 09 and the dash is getting sticky and starting to get shiny. I was always confused as to why Lexus stopped the recall year at 08 and did not include the newer Lexus IS models. I thought maybe they changed the dash in 09, but now it appears that is not the case. Has anyone else had a sticky melting dash on 2009 or newer models? If so have you had any luck getting Lexus to do anything about it?

From talking with the tech at the Lexus dealership, I believe the reason it goes to 2008 is because the 10 year warrant expires and Lexus is extending it for 2006-2008. You should be fine if you have a 2009.

Bump... Anyone else have an 09 or newer IS with sticky melting dash? My 250 is getting bad and the 350 is starting to get sticky near the windshield. I think I might have gotten parts from the 08 parts bin. My door panels are solid with no issues.

Took both my 250 and 350 in to Lexus to have them document that my dashes are melting. I was told not to worry Lexus is taking care of these situations, but because my car is outside of the VIN range I would have to open a case with Lexus. I called Lexus and opened a case, waited about 2 weeks and finally heard back from them. They are going to cover 75% of the cost of replacing the dashes. Not sure how I feel about having the same issue as owners that have older cars and they get their dashes replaced fore free while I have to pay and I have 2 Lexus vehicles! I have a call into the dealership now to find out what 25% of the cost will run me.

I am still waiting on my dealership to tell me how much 25% is going to cost me. I am trying to sell my 250 but I am getting low-balled at 5K under retail because of the dash.
