hi all
so i called my guy at New Port lexus and ask how much to clean all the carbon build up and he said $845 if i need spark plugs or $720 if i dont..
im over this rough idle bullship and going to do it in 2 weeks to get it over with
was looking for an is350 but really dont wanna make payments since my mom bought me this car and gave it to me as a gift
yes ye si know seafoam but it doesnt clean everything so thats my 2cents =) have a good one !

I'd say go for a walnut blast. The lexus "top end carbon clean" is nothing but a glorified seafoam. Where do you think all that carbon goes since they dont suck it out? through your engine...with teh possibility to clump up elsewhere

i stated this so many times lol theres noone here thats willing to walnut an lexus i called everywhere and they said only bmws so im out of idea besides New port lexus

I'm just letting you know the feedback I got from the shop that did mine (2 former Lexus techs)
Are they going to give you before and after shots of your valves?
The stories of them telling me of that top end clean, and the engine issues coming back, just makes sense. It seems you're just going to be spending to end up being in the same spot again (maybe worse, as the carbon will not be basically getting moved down your engine)
